Campcraft selection - makes me realise what some pple actually feel. yea sometimes u do not really realise it..until someone points it out to u. we gladly accepted. the shock of the mo ming qi miao comment. take time to digest. nothing can be wrong abt a comment. it's the impression u give to others. often, what pple see is the result and not the process..how true can this be. "pple will not rmb what u did 4 them..but how u make them feel". i can juz safely sae.. i sorta like this challenge to be taken on.. it's sure a big lesson 4 my future. smile it off

hmm long 4 days. Quite fun actually, gotta know alot more pple. Let's try to recall what happened on the 1st day. 1st day was initiative games, 1st aid and stuff. Hmm nothing much to take note.. haha juz fun all day. but the debrief almost killed me. abt 3hr!!! lucky i wasn't dozxing off [1st day wad] ms chang spent like.. 40+ min speaking abt the NYGH culture and NY spirit.. totally piss me off [reminds me the session w chinese teachers.]pah.. izzit me who can't see what they see or izzit themselves who are..unaware of the very fact that it cannot be defined? wadeva..hah slept at 2am aft being the last to bathe..yea and woke up at 5.30 the next morning.
I was the Duty Instructor for e nxt day..meaning taking charge of everything.. together with huishan of SJAB. DAmn stressful.. have to keep looking into my timetable and plan ahead of everything/. I mean.. most plannings shouild be done b4 the camp liao lo.. but this "sportaneous" training they give us made us really very stressed. but heng.. everything went on quite ok.. other than a few "tuitions" by ms chang. hee.. then at night.. there was night orienteering.haha we plan one [my com]. then from dinner on.. we were like putting on a stern and solenm face and force ourselves not to smile to the SLs.bwahaha.. think we actually created the atmosphere.. not to scare them.. but scared ourselves. Then i was briefing them in this very serious and deep tone.. hha think i sound real..dead. but the thing was screwed cauz it was suppsoed to be a night walk thinggie..scary and stuff but the lights of the other campsites are BLINDING. so bright they can see even without their torches. mess up my game! haah then it was debrief again and this time i slept. sihui was beside me.. so i asked her to pinch me lo. hahha then ms chang saw and she gve a funny face.;p. then back to the lodge..bed! wahlao.. dun eva plae with selene yeo or ma huishuan on the bed man.. scary. 1st huishan was sitting beside me when we were tokking.then suddenly sheplace her left hand on my hand and right hand on my thigh and.. and.. YUCK!!itchy!and i shouted out loud. haha then toopid selene came and raped me. pushed me onto the bed aft much struggle and like.. pounce on me?? hhaa then we started playign wrestling. hahahaha. dumb but fun!! haha imagine the things u can do on a BED..:p
3rd day..nothing much.. quite slack. area cleaning in the morn and kayaing in the aftnoon. hah then there was alot of free time so i was like singing jya's song w my cap on in the hall like in front of everyone.. hah then ms sia and mr kuo went pass.. so paiseh.At night, slept in NY. Oh my.. it's so colD!!! i wore a sweater k.. then i was still trembling at night and woke up 3 times.
LAst day.. was practically kayaking all day la. Yup// got quite obvious tan lines.haha. oh.. my arm bears scars.. resulted from sihui's pinches to keep me awake during debrief.. keke.
yawn ok.. a brief summary for all.. nitey.. very tired. u won't see me for antoher 3 days!

1st thing, reached sch at arnd 7 15.. quite early considering i slept at 00 45 and woke up at 05 30. Yup waited for pple to turn up and poof i have to go off for council pre-camp liao. hee=) over all quite fun la. I think the 2001 camp has left me.. paranoid of camps. in the morning i was walking into the sch..haha then i saw lots of balloons on the floor.. then i started thinking : HEY.. this might be a trap!betta rmb where the balloons are in case one the of activities require us to search for balloons..-_-. and i am not the gan cheong type lor.. paranoid. K then started off with a briefing and some sort of ice breaker for the groups la. Im in group 4.. foxfied. haha even came up with a cheer [ain't i genius=)]here goes: WE are FoxXY, we roc, we are everything u're not. The FoxFieders uh hur.. haha haha haha..FOXIFIED YEAH! mwahahhaha...[from bring it on] =p. as u can see.. my family grp is quite fun .. haha esp with emilia as the moderator.
Ok la 1st activity was.. the "X no. feet, Y no. butts, Z no. hands onthe floor" game. like u can only have tt no. of tt thing on the ground la. haz.. basically my grp was quite fast la.and creative.Gwenth is so cute!
Next is the AHHHH SHOT game. ok the person who starts has to Scream "AHHHH", the 2 person beside her also muz scream together and wave their hands high up.haha.. then this perosn has to "SHOT" at another person and the person X will have the do the "AHH SHOT" procedure again la. hee hee. given my fast reaction.. of course no forfeits for me la. BUt cherlyn and Sharon kanna. Did POLE dance [blink blink..reminds the SLC OT pple of SOMETHING?] hahaha.yep.quite crazee and fun seeing eevryone go CRAZEE
Next we played wacko.ya la. no need to elaborate on this. Juz need to know that roses wong kanna 5 times in all.=p
Next..the grouping game. We were made to close our eyes and the instructors stuck a sticker on our heads. Then we a supposed to find our group accordin to the colour on our head.[red, blue, green] of course we can't see wad's on our head la. and we are not supposed to speak too. OK so at the start of the game, i went around joining pple together.. and aft a few minutes.. i realise everyone has got pple pulling their hands and pulling htem into their grp. But i WALKED arnd the whole place looking like an idiot but no one pulled me in or something. guess what.. i was the ODD ONE OUT..with a white sticker on my forehead.Damn.SAbo me. Then i gave YingAY a pitiful stare..haha and isolated myself.But in the end they said that the whole council's supposed to be a grp la.as in.. not separated. SO FINE.=p
Nxt is the "PRY" game. All of us were blind folded and we were taken to various place around the 4th lv of the sch. we can't say anything but "pry" and a preson [not blindfolded] will be the 'finder" and sort of gather all of us at one place la. Apparently, i think i was the first one to be brought to a place FAR FAR away. like so lonely and stuff but nvm.. then i found fellow blindfolded pple and started linking up hands to look for the unblindfolded. then walk walk walk.. PANG i went into the wall! OUCh my NOSE...OK.then aft much confusion, managed to find a BiG chain of pple and got inside.gah. k then to straighten the chain out, i was allowed to take my blindfold out and guide pple along. heee think i violent abit here.. sort of PULLED everyone.but dunno why leh.. they walk very slowly.. so i had to PUll Real hard to get them going. haha think chuwen very cham.. her arm dislocating..ahah all thanx to me.
OK enuff crap. Next WATER BOMB. in the field. Supposed to attack JIA shee [my side] and protect dani from all water bombs. haha so fun. was like bombing and bombing pple. poor jiashee. hee then towards the end..me and liyi went to fill the basin full with water and splashed onto EVERYONE there.. so la..those within my range. hahaha.. nice shot. they all went "WAH LAO!!!"heeee should have shoot their exp. dwn.. priceless!
yea.. ended with a cheer session and a pointers session la. Yup.
OK then OFF to NP i go. Mock 3rd class. then..did some debrief and punishments. and it's 5+++++ and the only thing i've eaten is a small piece of kuei lapis in the morn. i survived on 5 chewing gums.suffering from tummy ache now.=(

Last day at day. Qutie sad. Karen bought a coffee cake. She manage to make me gobble down 3 slices of it leh. pple who know me should know i DO NOT TAKE CREAM CAKE ONE. but tt was DELICIOUS>>>! haha ok.. a breakthrough for me. Yea then took ltos of photo.. upload some other day. yup.. nothing else la.. doing translation whole day lo. OH.. i DIN GET MY PAY!!! i was liek so happy int he morning : pay day mah.. i thought. then till the end of the day.. i realise even karen doesn't know how much we r supposed to get..=(

Tml last day liao.. sort of she3 bu4 de2.. and i think it's more of a kind of dreadful feeling i have for the coming week.. (s). SIGh.. .. but one thing.. i think adel very poor thing.. 50 more pages of chinese translation to go. u should have seen her.. she is SO stressed lor.. and she is sOSOO happy when she sees us [me and sheen yee] and kept asking us to help her more and kept complaining why we can't stay longer.. hahha.poor adel.she's my only source of entertainment for she has a hi fi set under her table.. haha.. kept playing nice songs =)

oh ya.. thanx to sheen chan for the threads.. im learning to make friendship band.. haha.. hope it doesn't turn out horrible and disgusting...spent like 30 min sorting out the threads and making sure they do not inter-twine.like SOOoosooooo long lo.wasted.hahah but ea.. nice day todae.had a lift from au-foo's dad to bedok and they are having a pasar malam like thinggie [for 1 month so it's not the usual pasar malam] and i bought a cup of malt candy [got quite sick of it aft some time] and 2 new Tees. I saw the slam dunk nice nice sweater.. but it doesn't fit!! the S is like.. my defination of XL??? sigh.. i want tt sweater!

After break, finally i was out of the office pasting posters for NKF health screening.finally, some space for me to exercise my limbs [now my brain's rusty] then went off to ATC to help out and got the job of stamping the common seal onto stickers for the student's certs. then there was 3 pple over one small puncher so we took turns to punch and play online bomberman at the same time. and this RICHARD guy, the vice pres of some department came in and screwed us.like saying "why are u playing games? don't u have anything to do? you sure u have finished all work?" *turns around* "haven't you assign work for them?u guys keep an eye on game. No games during working hours". Supervisor scolding.. nothign great right? e reason why im damn pissed is because he was supposed to assign work for one of my grp member -audrey n he basically 4got abt her. still have the cheek to sae "haven't u assign work for them?"jerk.

1st thing in the morning.. i was supposed to sort the name cards for Mr Han.. ya noe.. according to alphabectical order.yup.. finished sorting in.. 1hr.. tt is 11 30.yes then slacked from then to 12.30 and went for lunch.Went to ask adrian whether there's anythign for me to do for a few times.. think i am bothering him so.. dare not ask further.
Yep.. came back and i've got sheen yee's Com..haha.. that's good.at least can slack online.. better than nothing to do.Yup.. and i sent out 6-10 emails settling some stuff over e net.. feel quite accomplished.and finally.. when i was chatting over the net with shuyi, si hui, chuwen, hanip blah blah blah.. another stack of namecards came and i was supposed to sort them out. Ok.. wasted another 30 min.and i continued to slack online..went to pple's blog.. confirmed official stuff.
and when finally i had nothing to do.. my star of hope came.MIL Com has this china group of visitors and its CEO actually wrote a poem on SIngapore.haha.. he looked for the managing director's PA [perosnal assistant] to help him type the written poem out, but the PA was very busy and was like trying to reject..saying that it might take her half a day.blah blah.. since i was SOOooooOOOooo free, i volunteered my service.Apparently, he was quite surprised that i can read what he was writing [like it's only chinese ya?] and was like "hai2 shi4 xian4 zai4 de4 xue2 sheng1 liao3 bu4 qi3!". Then the PA was jokingly telling me.."mabbe he will want u as god-daughter.he has a BIG company in CHina.. mabbe u can get something out of him" and throughout the process that i was typing.. she was like at my side and exclaiming non-stop "u type chinese very fast leh!"-_-. but well i am thankful that i finally had something to do. So happy that i actually skip my break to type out the stuff.HAHaha.
Ok finished typing.The PA sort of had a good impression of me haha=) and her boss juz suaned her that she dunno how to insert a button linkig to another slide in the ppt.. and she wanted me to teach her.haha like woah.yea so i taught her how to do it la and she was simply impressed by what ppt could do.then i told her i din LEARn it frm someone.. i trail and error -ed and she was like "ur computer din spoil?" -_-.OK..haha.. but overall she's a quite comical person la.fun to be wif too.yes.. another 'fren' in MIL COm
Oh i 4got something.b4 lunch time, Jimmy[e genius who got into university at the age of 13] was using the photocopying machine which was beside me..few steps away. then suddenly he kicked something and a black ball [as what i saw]came rolling towards me and went behind my seat.i thought it was the ball bearing from a chair or soemthing that happen to fall behind the machine.BUT NO.aft a few moments the genius sae "hey a RAT!!!" imagine what i will do? A RAT behind my seat? hahha.. but it doesn't look like a rat..1)it's rolling!!!2)it appears to be a black ball lor!!! but nvm haha but i juz sat there and kept calm..after all i am not afraid of mice/rats..actually that small fur ball looks quite cute leh.haha then a colleague commented "u not afraid of rats ah"[in chinese] 'NO" 'then u go and catch la!" -_-. Ok wadeva. haha then there seem to be a comotion all round the office. pple were like complaining how their things got destroyed by the rat. haha
One funny one was: a person took out his cup noodles and showed us the hole that the rat has nibbled on.and he concluded "since this is TOM YAM Soup noodle.. the rat must be a THAI rat!" i almost went "pppppuuuuuu" when i was drinking lo.THAI RAT in SIngapore?pls la.then they were all complaining how powerful the rat was by looking at sratch marks on vitamin pills and someone concluded that the rat likes balanced diet.-_-.hahahhahaha
haha.. then they call in Atat [dunno how to spell] to catch the rat.but he came into the office with only a bamboo stick and start poking everywhere.PLs.. how to catch a rat with a stick??hahahhaa.. the terrified female staff was like "ATAT, u cannot catch rat like dat!the rat see you with stick one mile away, it run away already.at night u come and set trap.. then it's possible to catch it!"hahaha wad great adventure. apparently, ATAT has already caught 2 rats the previous week:one big one small. hurhur...nice office huh?

Day 4
Todae.. is the most fruitful day of all my 4 days in MIL Com i should say.yea i wore a skirt i bought yest to work [yea bought it juz for work] and wore high heels.Mom said i look like popeye's wife and kept on repeating her popeye ringtone.
first thing-->Human Factor and Error Management.YUp.. learnt quite alot abt human error.. how we humans think and how to make use of this knowledge to make pple follow your orders.=).was truly inspired and while the instructor was talking, i pen down some thoughts on how to improve the role of CCA grps[NP] and SWC in our sch..and i actually came up with a set of objectives and steps.oops..Yea.. all in all.. jzu wanna sae that it's VERY useful and applicable in daily life.
Cant slp during lunch time.. was thinking of lots of stuff.Depression i guess sigh.. not pms..juz doing some reflection^^^^.
After lunch eh..went for a PR, marketing and advertising introduction lecture.yup.. but tt guy seem to sense we were super bored and tried to break the ice.Discussed alot of stuff.From...what he does..to dress sense..to..scholarship.. to business and economy.Basically.. he juz can't believe that some of us [like me] have started to worry abt our future and job security and stuff.. and even have plans as to where to go.. what to do.Seems like the saying abt young pple onlee plays and thinks of nothing deep dun really stand eh?haiz..zi4 xun2 fan2 nao3.
next..deportment class!hahs..learnt alot again.wanna stress again that it doesn't feel like working.. like going to school leh.anw..haha learnt that "tanned" pple like me are WARM type of pple.No white No black NO pastel colours cauz they dun look good on u?Khaki colours..cream..shades of brown..dark green and ORANGE are colours for u..believe it or not. Pples who are fair ah.. are COOL peepz.white and black are MADE FOR U..and light cooling colours like blue..PINK are suitable as well.but some pple are so fortunate.. they suit both types of clothes so they can wear anything.poof.haha then learnt abt skin care..hair care..basic makeup yup.haha.i now realise i have BAD dress sense man.Got pin pointed by tt expert [actually she qutie nice one la] tt my shirt is too..flowery [i dun think so].. my skirt is too informal [this is called informal???] and my high heels should be covered -->court shoes mabbe [it's a miracle when i actually WORE high heels ok?].Yea.. think i have to change the 'sea of blue" in my wardrobe liao.. buy more khaki and green ones.
Tml.. will be officially attached to a boss as PA liao.. wish me luck..hope he's not so mean.basically.. there's nothign much for us to do la.. tml they've got some big big CHINA partners coming.. so most prob won;t be able to let us into their mtg.. so will be in the office slacking/ doing soem photocopying / filing / answering calls la. FINALLY REAL WORK.feel so guilty.. make they pay us for learning from them.Nevertheless.. of course i hope for a..2** pay..haha/

Ok took a cab to tt company..met Kathy.. so real cute colleague there haha.. and her marriage is very very interesting.Yup learnt about the importance of effective communication and how to answer a telephone call properly..how to transfer a call.. how to record a message. 1st.. must alwaez SMILE. then u go "Good morning Mil COm, this is Mr Han's office, I am his personal assistant kai ling, how can i help you..." btw mr han's my boss.. will be attached to him starting friday and be his personal assistant--> tt is to cover EVERYTHINg abt him including meals, massage and laundry mabbe. ok yup. continued and learnt the format of MEMO writing, cover letter writing.. taking down minutes.
Yup.. basically all the admin work. Actually, they can be boring at times, but all you need is a passion for the work you are doign and treat it with pride.. then everythign can be fulfiling and interesting. U also have to have the initiative to ask questions and the urgency to finish your task on time, sometimes sacrificing your personal time [sounds quite NP like huh?yea.. tt's how NP helped].
yea then after lunch, nothing much to do actaully.. went to look at the company's telephone transfer board, photocopying machine [very high tech] and the scanner stuff and how to convert a scaned in document to word document and edit the format from there. cool man..dun have to retype everything.
Yup.. then a 14 year-old ACS B guy [the CEO's son] came to join us.name called CLovis.very shy..acts like jay with the cap on..he's frm ruby.yea he looks super old for his age.duntalk much.but we gals gossiped alot behind him duh.. hahah.yea actually THAT person i complained abt a few days b4 isn't really tt bad. tsk.. i apologise if she ever happen to know what i said.she's quite nice actually.SO Lesson learnt:nv judge a person until you have really met her and spent time with her. Sigh.. real sorry.

Second day of work. yea.. think i can be engineer/ technician for BOEING 737-600 , 700 , 800 planes liao. Went through the FAULT ISOLATION PROCEDURE and all the "HOW TO OPERATE" stuff for 3 hrs?phew~computer learning is NOT fun at all. Yea above all slacking is not fun.I expected a more.. busy life there at work but there is practically NOTHING for us to do until the management attachment next week?hahs.. but they giving us training and stuff.. admin work.. minutes.. how to answer a phone call..GROOMING..how to go for interview. ABOVE all these.. my new idol is Dr Diana Young.. my CEO.. she is SO..SO.. mighty..caring..capable..and nice!!! the whole company is juz like a big family lor.. wah seh.. zai sia~
Aerospace industry is a "recession-free" industry.. and with the help of many sub-industries, she is able to make this comapny the leading one in its industry and expand it to USA.. HONGkonG.. China.. Msia.. Austrailia.. WOAH. most imptly.. there's this smart guy who entered the university at the age of 13!!!and he designed the SMART card.. Smmmmart eh?

OkOK time to update on SLC party 4.It was after hike la.. i was all sweaty and sticky.even met up with xl to do campfire structure.. but tt gal wanted to go home cauz she stinks so i had to go CHS busstop alone. Yea.. no exactly in very good mood due to some stuff.. but a big thank you to nice peepz who managed to cheer me into party mood.started out with dinner.. yumyum.. i have huge appetite.. the sushi was DELICIOUS.. the CURRY CHICKEN also.then.. played bridge [AGAIN.. my FAV now].
Nxt TABOO.haha.. yea the one tt ms Kristen tong made us play.Bleah think the guys r damn good at it.playing "battle of the sexs" then the gals lost. the toopid forfeit was to drink a huge mug of mixture of root beer, curry and chicken.. + one pathetic rambutan+some soysauce.. thot it wld taste yucky.. but it's quite NICE la.

OK.. focus on yesterdae. wah lao.. during recrea.. i was laughing so hard.. wanted to have rest lying on the ground.. then PIA.. i knock into something.. very painful. got up.. realised it's a PIN!those big-headed pins. OUCH! got a small bum..on my head.. and i suspect my skull is cracked or something.. can't even lie down properly.
After act went to camp christine.. [oh i bought a orange berm.. but it's VERY SHORT and TIGHt.. eeeww] Ok. saribum camp site is HUGE.. but NOT camp christine. quite puny leh. but nvm.. haha me and mad volunteered to be in ms ng's car to the camp [cauz dun wanna be in *ahem*ms chang's car mah..] haha yea.. took a tour round camp christine.. and the surrounding area. it's VERY ulu. haha had a great time exploring those "NO Trespassing area"... haha
OH there's a long stretch of road b4 entering the camp along lim chu kang road. ms ng said it's for fighter planes to take off or land during emergencies.. cool right. So the along the WHOLE stretch are juz cementries and NO buildings and even the lamp posts can be lowered for the planes leh.. imagine the sky.. with no blockage.. it's nice.haha BUT the joke is.. last time they got an emergency exercise.. and they took 4 hrs to lower all the lamp posts... uhhh.. so EMERGENCY can last and wait for u for 4 hrs ha??=)
